The
Cianci
Family
emigrated
from
Roccascalegna
Italy
in
1929
via Ship Napoli. The
eldest
three
brothers
traveled
from
the
Adriatic
Sea
with
their
mother
to
Ellis
Island in
pursuit
of
the
American
Dream.
They
settled
in
Greenville,
Pennsylvania. Two
additional children
were
born
after settling in
the
United States.
The Cianci Family
worked hard and became
entrepreneurs of several local
businesses;
Cianci's Restaurant and Bar,
Cianci's Motor Lodge, Cianci's
Corner Dairy, Cianci's Barber Shop,
Cianci's Tire Center, Happy Home
Rentals, Orangeville Tavern, and the
Friendly
Tavern.
With their relentless
pursuit of the American dream. they
were able to purchase many
properties
afforded by their hard work. They
were and are a hardworking family
serving for the greater good
and continue to work and improve
the communities in which they live
today.
